Bayelsa Government Unaware of NFF Congress As Pinnick Continues To Play Games

Top officials of the Bayelsa State Government have claimed that they are not in the picture an NFF Emergency Congress was originally scheduled for Tuesday in Yenagoa, just as it is becoming more obvious that NFF President Amaju Pinnick (PICTURED) has continued to be doing everything for the Congress not to hold.

According to the notice sent out by the NFF to delegates, the Congress will take place in Yenagoa on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 10am.

“The Governor is not aware of an NFF Congress for this week in Bayelsa,” a top source informed.

It would also be recalled that the delegates of the Congress were thrown into confusion after rumours that the meeting had then been postponed by a day to Wednesday.

The Congress is now scheduled for Lagos on August 18 against the order of the Sports Minister that it be held in Abuja.

Pinnick, who is gunning for a third term in office, has been very apprehensive about a Congress after the majority of members threatened to impeach him.

He was only forced to convene a Congress to pre-empt one to be called by ‘Concerned FA Chairmen’.
