Kwara United Controversial Continental Ticket Behind Kwara FA Chairman’s Unholy Romance With Pinnick

It is now out in the open that a very controversial decision to hand Kwara United a continental slot was principally responsible for the recent romance between NFF President Amaju Pinnick and Kwara FA Chairman Idris Abdullahi aka ‘Turaya’ (PICTURED).

‘Turaya’ is now known as the “black sheep” among the ‘Concerned FA Chairmen’, who form the majority of the NFF Congress and who have demanded that Pinnick convenes a General Assembly with immediate effect.

Last week, against due process and morality NFF appointed Chikelue Iloenyosi as Chairman of Anambra FA and now it has come out that they have picked Kwara United, who placed fourth in the NPFL this past season, to be the second club after Remo Stars to represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.

This means that the eventual winners of the on-going Federation Cup will not play international football this year no thanks the under-the-table transactions between the NFF leadership and the Kwara State Governor in Morocco during the recent WAFCON.

That is why Pinnick has been boasting he has the full support of the Kwara Governor to continue for a third term as NFF President.

Ironically, just a year ago the same Kwara United were threatening fire and brimstone against the same Pinnick and NFF after they claimed they were robbed of a chance to play international football.

Close watchers of Nigeria Football are now waiting to see whether the NPFL clubs, who have reached the quarterfinals of the Federation Cup, will live up to their threat to pull out of the cup competition in protest over this “KwaraGate”.
