Northern Caucus Begins Crucial Meeting Today Ahead Of NFF Elections

The powerful Northern Caucus will begin a crucial meeting today in Kano during which it is expected to take a position on next month’s NFF Elections including a consensus candidate for the NFF Presidency.

The meeting will run till August 8.

Going by the NFF Statutes 2010, the North will have a simple majority of 24 votes in a 44-person Elective Congress.

The breakdown is as follows – North West 6, North East 6, North Central 8, Coaches Association 1, NPFL 1,  Players’ Union (PFAN) 1, NLO 1.

The South has 20 votes.

Elections to the NFF Executive Committee are decided by simple majority.
