NFF ‘Set Up’ Sports Minister To Look Bad Over Super Falcons Bonus As Pinnick Jets Out To London

Inside sources have told www.insideglasshouse.com that the NFF deliberately requested very late for the budget for the 2022 WAFCON so as to make Sports Minister “look bad and incompetent”.

This comes at a time when NFF President Amaju Pinnick abandoned the striking Super Falcons in Morocco by jetting out to London.

It was reliably gathered that a staff of the NFF accounts department approached the Finance Director over the lateness of the WAFCON budget and the director simply told him that he had forgotten.

“The NFF did what they did to mess up the minister,” an inside source said.

“They are doing everything to make the man look bad before the Nigerian public.

“Recently, it would be recalled that they got the media to demand for his sack because they claim he is not competent.”

The Sports Ministry has since revealed that it received the WAFCON budget only two weeks before the kick-off of the WAFCON in Morocco this month.

In the meantime, Pinnick jetted out to London on the day the Super Falcons embarked on a pay strike in Morocco.

Officials said he will fly back to Morocco for tonight’s CAF Awards, before tomorrow’s third-place match between the Super Falcons and Zambia.
