EXPOSED: Controversial LMC Letter That Appeals Cttee Ruled Tried To Sway Decision In Favour Of Kano Pillars

www.insideglasshouse.com has obtained the controversial letter by the League Management Company (LMC), which the NFF Appeals Committee ruled was brought before it so as to sway its decision in favour of Kano Pillars in the matter of the match NPFL game against Dakkada.

The LMC letter was dated July 14, addressed to the NFF General Secretary and signed by the LMC COO Salihu Abubakar.

The Appeals Committee described the LMC letter, which was tendered at its sitting, as “contemptuous” and the league organisers refused to withdraw the letter even when they were asked to do so.

“On the League  Management Company’s letter dated 14th July, 2022, addressed to the General Secretary, Nigeria Football Federation, having found that the letter is contemptuous, League Management Company is hereby barred from sending such to the Nigeria Football Federation,” read part of the ruling.

“League Management Company has been cautioned several times as the letter was trying to sway the decision of the NFF Appeals Committee.”

The LMC in this controversial letter argued that it wished to state its “legal position” as “custodian of the NPFL framework and rules”.

It argued that Dakkada do not have the legal basis to demand the 1-0 result for Kano Pillars as reported by both the referee and the match commissioner should be overturned.

The LMC further argued that the NFF Disciplinary Committee cannot activate the suspended sentence of docked points against Kano Pillars at the prompting of Dakkada.
