Tuesday Deadline By Congress Majority For NFF To Convene Emergency General Assembly Looms

A majority of the NFF Congress under the umbrella of “concerned FA Chairmen” has given till Tuesday, July 12, 2022, for the NFF Executive Committee headed by Amaju Pinnick (PICTURED) to convene an Emergency General Assembly.

Should the Pinnick administration fail to adhere to this deadline, the FA Chairmen can on their own convene should a gathering.

Instead of working towards the wishes of the Congress, Pinnick has chosen to win back their confidence and support by offering to fly the FA Chairmen out to the 2022 WAFCON in Morocco for “a good time”, while maintaining that a court order against such a meeting has yet to be received.

The ‘Concerned FA Chairmen’ have rebuffed the offer and have instead stuck to their demand for the General Assembly to be convened.

September 20 is the terminal date of the Pinnick administration and Pinnick has been working against his public declaration that he does not wish to seek a third term in office.
