Application Made For ‘Temporary Suspension’ Of Court order Against NFF

An application for “temporary suspension” of a court order against the NFF has been made to allow the football federation set in motion the machinery for NFF reforms as ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari and NFF Elections in September.

Chairman of PFAN Task Force Harrison Jalla disclosed that the litigant applied Friday at the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, for the injunction to be set aside in the interim.

The order had caused the NFF AGA in December 2021 to be aborted.

Jalla said the application was in keeping with an agreement reached with a majority number of FA Chairmen in Abuja on June 19, 2022.

A statement signed by him said this has now paved the way for the amendments of a section of the NFF Statutes 2010 so that there is an equal and fair representation in the Congress and Executive Committee.

Jalla hoped that the NFF will also commence the electoral process on a level playing field.
