Who Replaced Akinwunmi With Gusau In CAF Committee?
Tongues are wagging again as to who could have made a direct replacement of Seyi Akinwunmi with Ibrahim Gusau on the CAF Youth Committee.
With the political temperature rising to fever point as the NFF Elections approaches, it can be expected that there will be alignment and realignment of allies and strategies leading up to the polls in September.
For NFF President Amaju Pinnick, his flavour of the moment is most certainly the Chairman of Chairmen, Ibrahim Gusau.
He appointed the Zamfara FA Chairman as leader of delegation to the delayed 2021 AFCON in Cameroon earlier this year and Gusau has represented him at various other high-profile meetings including last week’s crucial parley with the majority FA Chairmen, who demanded for the vacation of a court order that has stopped the NFF Congress convening since December.
On the other hand, Pinnick’s relationship with his 1st Vice President Akinwunmi has not been so chummy lately.
So, could that be why now the direct replacement on the CAF committee?
