Sinking Pinnick Fails To Scuttle ‘Rebel’ FA Chairmen Parley As Battle Line Sharply Drawn

Like a coach who has lost his dressing room, Amaju Pinnick has lost the NFF Congress that supported him to become the Big Monster that has in eight years destroyed whatever that remains of Nigeria Football.

There is certainly no love lost between Pinnick, who is desperately clinging on to power, and the majority of the NFF Congress and this was clearly evident in the events leading up to Friday night’s meeting between representatives of “Rebel” FA Chairmen and NFF officials in Abuja.

The battle line between Pinnick and the Congress Members was sharply drawn after the embattled NFF President failed to get some of the “Rebel” Chairmen to scuttle the Abuja parley at the last minute.

It was gathered that a panicky Pinnick tried to recruit some of the Chairmen representatives to ensure a meeting between them and the NFF led by Chairman of Chairmen Ibrahim Gusau did not take place after all.

One of the Chairmen from the South will even blast Pinnick after the NFF boss had first tried to bully him without much success.

The FA Chairmen representatives also rejected the hotel Pinnick booked for them and instead chose to sort out their own accommodation in Abuja.

A trapped Pinnick refused to meet with the Chairmen in person.

The “Rebel” Chairmen have demanded for the vacation of a court order to allow them to hold a General Assembly that will prepare grounds for an Elective Congress in September that will end the inglorious and disastrous tenure of Pinnick.
