Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ Joins Race To Succeed Pinnick
Long-serving NFF Executive Committee Member Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ (PICTURED) is the latest man to join the race to succeed Amaju Pinnick as President of the NFF.
Pinnick has declared he has dropped plans to seek re-election and that has paved the way for many of his loyalists to throw their hat into the ring.
www.insideglasshouse.com learnt ‘Fresh’ made public his interest for the top post Friday.
Interestingly, he will now square up against his friend and close ally Shehu Dikko, who he had worked very hard to be voted NFF President in 2014.
The Niger State FA Chairman is currently Chairman of the ineffective NFF Technical Sub-Committee.
He enjoyed a lot of support and goodwill across Nigeria when he was Chairman Referees Appointment Committee before he was replaced by his friend Sharif Inuwa Ahlan.
He came close to missing out on the NFF Executive Committee in 2018 and recently he no longer commands the funds he used to.
Questions have also been asked about his capacity.
