CAF Query NFF Over World Cup Playoffs Riot

CAF have queried the NFF for the ugly riot by fans at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

Angry fans went on rampage soon after the Eagles failed to beat the Black Stars of Ghana for the ticket to Qatar 2022.

www.insideglasshouse.com gathered that the NFF defied an order by world football governing body FIFA that only 39,000 fans be allowed into the stadium for the West African Derby.

However, over 70,000 fans eventually made their way into the 60,000-capacity arena as both the NFF and sports ministry mobilized support for the Eagles to qualify for the Mundial.

The MKO Abiola National Stadium will now most likely be slammed a ban and NFF ordered to pay a hefty fine for the crowd trouble.

The ban will mean that the Eagles will have to find another home ground for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, which will begin in June.

The Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo will most likely be the Eagles home ground.
