How Ghana And Partey Spoilt Pinnick’s Victory Party At Hilton Hotel
The Champagne had already been put on ice, top comedians and some Nollywood A-listers were flown in from Lagos by private jet and it was going to come all down at the Hilton Hotel in Abuja only for Thomas Partey and Ghana to ruin Amaju Pinnick’s 2022 World Cup qualification party.
Such was the confidence that Pinnick had over the Super Eagles qualification to Qatar 2022 that this big bash had been organised by no other entertainment organizer than the NFF President himself, famous for staging a comic show every year in his hometown of Warri.
It was also said that close ally and NFF 2nd Vice President Shehu Dikko was also in bullish mood leading up to the World Cup playoffs against the Black Stars in Abuja that he organised a novelty match with the Sports Writers Association (SWAN) and thereafter an after party.
But as they say, the rest is now history as Partey’s 10th minute pile driver beat Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and eventually disgraced the handful of persons who have held Nigeria Football hostage by their greed, selfishness and gross incompetence in the last eight years.
