100 Million Naira Commission Paid To Agent For Brokering NPFL Bet9ja Sponsorship Deal?

Investigations are still ongoing as regards how much a Lagos-based marketing agent was paid for brokering the Bet9ja sponsorship deal with the NPFL.

So far it is understood that the agent, who now runs an international event every year in Lagos for a top bank, pocketed a staggering 100 Million Naira for the sponsorship with the gaming company, which is owned by Kunle Soname, who also owns NPFL side Remo Stars.

If that were the case, that would be about 30% of the deal reported to be worth 300 Million Naira.

Another scandal has marred this deal after it was reported that a top LMC official who did not broker the deal demanded that half of the sponsorship money be paid into his personal account.

The LMC is already demanding the second tranche of 100 Million Naira from the sponsors after they received the first installment of 100 Million Naira around the start of the new season.

The NPFL is not yet halfway through the season.
