Powerful Northern Caucus Rejects Pinnick 3rd Term Ambition, Insists Next NFF President From North

FA Chairmen from the North have dismissed Amaju Pinnick’s ambition to be elected for a third time as NFF President, just as they have agreed that the next boss of Nigeria Football will come from their region.

These far-reaching decisions were taken at the Niger State Governor’s Cup Final in Minna at the weekend with Niger State FA Chairman Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ (PICTURED) as chief host.

The rendezvous was well attended as Chairman of Chairmen Ibrahim Gusau, Kano FA boss Inuwa Ahlan, Ibrahim Alkali from Nasarawa State, who are all on the NFF Executive Committee, were in attendance.

Among the decisions they reached at this meeting were –

1) No to the 3rd term ambition of Amaju Pinnick

2) A Northern candidate will be the next NFF President

3) This Northern candidate, who will get the full backing of the region, has yet to be named

For the past eight years, Pinnick from the SouthSouth has been NFF President, while Seyi Akinwunmi from SouthWest has been his No 2.

Shehu Dikko from NorthWest was appointed NFF 2nd Vice President.
