Shehu Dikko Lied He Was Elected, Blames Jalla For NPFL Woes

Chairman of the LMC, Shehu Dikko (PICTURED), has lied before the committee saddled with designing a 10-year development plan for Nigeria Football after he told them he was elected by the league clubs, while also blaming critic Harrison Jalla for his failure to reposition the NPFL.

Observers have therefore challenged Shehu Dikko to name the time and place his election was conducted.

Shehu Dikko was appointed by the NFF as LMC Chairman in place of Nduka Irabor, who first headed a League Management Committee set up to reposition the Nigeria league.

It is also a fact that the contraption now known as the LMC is unknown to the controversial 2010 NFF Statutes.

But even more hilarious than this lie was Shehu Dikko’s declaration that the likes of Jalla have made the NPFL so unattractive with “toxic” presentations to scare away potential sponsors.

The NPFL, which at a point in time received 10 Million Dollars annually from pay TV SuperSport in sponsorship monies, has over the years been bedeviled by corruption, match-fixing, contractual disputes involving both players and coaches as well as shrinking local interest.
