Master Plan Committee Resumes Sitting As Akinwunmi Joins Parley

The committee saddled with fashioning a development master plan for Nigeria Football for the next 10 years has resumed sitting in Abuja after a short break with NFF 1st Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi joining the meetings for the first time in place of NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi, who was excused because of a congested schedule.

Sanusi has been conspicuously missing from the committee’s activities right from when it was inaugurated by Sports Minister Sunday Dare.

Akinwunmi was personally nominated by NFF President Amaju Pinnick to represent the football federation.

The NFF leadership as well as many State FA Chairmen have expressed their reservations about this committee particularly as they claim it is dominated by persons who have an axe to grind with some of them and they also claim they are not fully represented on the committee.

The committee headed by former NFF President Ibrahim Galadima is expected to complete its work in the first quarter of this year.
