Sports Minister Stops NFF Corruption For Super Eagles AFCON Camping

www.insideglasshouse.com can report that Sports Minister Sunday Dare has stopped “double budgeting” by the NFF by insisting the Super Eagles stage their local camping for the AFCON in Abuja and not the Akwa Ibom capital of Uyo.

NFF President Amaju Pinnick has already got the approval of the Akwa Ibom State Government for the Eagles to train in Uyo before their departure to Cameroon for the AFCON, which kicks off early next month.

However, Dare put his foot down that the team camp in Abuja and even went ahead to book the Bolton White Hotel, which will from today open its doors to the call-ups for the AFCON training camp.

The NFF under Pinnick have over the years secured sponsorship from various state governments for the Eagles, while still claiming from the Federal Government for the same cost.

For the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, Akwa Ibom State Government footed the Eagles bills for their home games, but the NFF still received money from the Federal Government for the same expenditure.

Also, Rivers State Government bankrolled part of the team’s local camping enroute to the 2018 World Cup just as the NFF received cash from the FG for the same local camping.
