NFF Strongman: Master Plan Committee Will ‘Consume’ Sports Minister

A top NFF official has boasted that a Master Plan committee set up by Sports Minister Sunday Dare (PICTURED right with President Buhari) to design a development plan for Nigeria Football for the next 10 years could well be what will “consume him out of office”.

The NFF are vehemently opposed to the Master Plan committee, saying they are not well represented on it and that there is a clear agenda by the Sports Minister to use the committee headed by former NFF President Ibrahim Galadima to oust them from office.

NFF Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Sanusi, who was named on the Master Plan committee, has so far stayed away from all their activities, clearly in protest.

And now another top NFF chieftain has come out clearly to say that Sunday Dare could well lose his plum post if he went all the way with the Master Plan committee.

“This committee may be what will finally consume the Sports Minister,” bragged the NFF strongman, who heads one of the leagues.

“He may be a serving Minister, but we can also press our connections in the Presidency and the Government itself to get him out.

“We are not going to sit down and see him mess us up.”
