Sanusi Shuns Master Plan Committee As NFF Opposition Deepens More

Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Mohammed Sanusi (PICTURED) has stayed away from the sitting in Abuja of the Master Plan committee to design a development plan for Nigeria Football as resentment and opposition by the NFF have continued to fester.

NFF General Secretary Sanusi was also conspicuously missing when the committee appointed by Sports Minister Sunday Dare was inaugurated.

He did not offer any apologies.

Dare has maintained that both the NFF and the sports ministry are on the same page as it concerns the committee, but the truth is that the NFF led by President Amaju Pinnick are most uncomfortable with the composition of the Master Plan committee as well as what the body plans to achieve.

Top NFF officials complained that State FA Chairmen, who are the dominant stakeholders in Nigeria Football today, have not been represented on the committee.

The officials also grumbled that majority of the committee members have an axe to grind with the NFF leadership.

The Master Plan committee headed by former NFF President Ibrahim Galadima is expected to complete its assignment early in the New Year.
