Pinnick Snubs Minister On Super Eagles World Cup Cash From President Buhari

NFF President Amaju Pinnick is on another collision course with Sports Minister Sunday Dare as he has yet to take up the directive by the supervising minister to acknowledge the kind consideration of President Muhammadu Buhari (PICTURED), who despite the paucity of funds in the country has released 1.5 Billion Naira for the Super Eagles qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup.

The NFF received the 1.5 Billion lifeline about three weeks ago.

The Minister said it was imperative that the NFF come out to show their appreciation to President Buhari for this money.

Some top officials had even claimed that what the NFF received was only 770 Million Naira and it was actually a backlog of outstanding monies for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

The Eagles have progressed to the final playoffs of the 2022 World Cup after they won their qualifying group.

The playoffs will be staged in March 2022.
