Harrison Jalla Granted Bail Over Pinnick Frivolous Case

Nigeria Football activist Harrison Jalla (PICTURED) has been granted bail by the Federal High Court Warri Division in a frivolous criminal defamation case brought against him by NFF President Amaju Pinnick.

Jalla was held in police custody for a week.

“If this is the price I have to pay for Nigeria Football to grow and be better, I am prepared to do so,” Jalla said soon after he regained his freedom.

He also vowed that all manners of pressure against him will not derail the agitation for Nigeria Football to be led by fit and proper persons.

The former Chairman of players union NANF and now Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PFAN, Jalla, has been in the forefront for major improvements in the governance of the country’s No 1 sport.

He has championed the cause for Pinnick and other top officials of the NFF to appear before the courts to answer to a litany of corruption allegations leveled against them.

Jalla has also spearheaded the need for equal representation by the major stakeholders in the NFF Congress and the NFF Executive Committee.

He has advocated for players past and present to take their rightful place in the leadership of the national sport.

He was not charged for a criminal or quasi criminal charge.

He was charged under the cyber crime law.

Many Nigerians should take out time to read this law and mind how and what they post on the social media.

Proof of truth is the only credible defence oh.
