Minister Inaugurates Football Master Plan Committee, Insists No Conflict With NFF
Sports Minister Sunday Dare today in Abuja inaugurated a committee to design a 10-year Master Plan for Nigeria Football (PICTURED).
This came after the inauguration was called off twice.
In his welcome address, Dare assured that the committee is not working against the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) particularly after some State FA Chairmen expressed disappointment they were not named on this August body.
“For others, who may think that this committee is meant to work at cross purposes with the Nigeria Football Federation, nothing could be further from the truth. 20. This is a Presidential assignment, a Federal Government project,” he maintained.
“The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is also working for Nigeria and the good of the game. So we are on the same page.”
He said he believes the committee will change the face of Nigeria Football.
“The Federal Government is interested in the long term growth and development of football, the beautiful game, and is ready to begin to make the plans for a better tomorrow, today,” he said.
