Is Pressure From NFF Behind Shift In Inauguration Of Nigeria Football Master Plan Committee?

The inauguration of the committee to design a 10-year Master Plan for Nigeria Football will no longer take place Thursday amid whispers that this could have been because of pressure from officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF),  who say they are not well represented on the committee.

www.insideglasshouse.com first reported that the committee will be sworn in Thursday in Abuja by Sports Minister Sunday Dare (PICTURED ABOVE).

However, this has since been put off with speculations that the inauguration will now be next month.

We have first reported that the most dominant Stakeholders in Nigeria Football, the State Football Association (FA) Chairmen, have been very uncomfortable with the composition of the Master Plan Committee, while claiming that they are not well represented on it.

The State FA Chairmen are 37 of the 44-man elective congress of the NFF and they are also the overwhelming majority on the 15-man NFF Executive Committee.

The members of the committee announced earlier this month are drawn from past NFF administrations as well as the private sector.
