PFAN Mandatory 90-Day Notice To NFF To Amend Statutes Runs Out

A 90-day notice by the country’s players’ union, PFAN, for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to effect major changes to the NFF Statutes of 2010 has come to an end.

The notice, which was undertaken according to the Statutes, ran out this past weekend.

The notice by the players demanded for major amendments of the Statutes as it concerns the composition of the NFF Congress and Executive Committee, which have both been dominated by the State Football Association Chairmen, as well as the voting pattern.

The players said the dominance by the State FA Chairmen has taken the national sport many steps backwards.

PFAN proposed therefore that these changes  be done under the watch if an independent football consultative forum or a forum if football stakeholders of eminent Nigerians.

www.insideglasshouse.com gathered that a committee headed by 1st Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi to look at amendments to the Statutes has yet to meet.
