FA Chairmen Spoiling For War Over Nigeria Football Master Plan

Many State Football Association Chairmen are up in arms with Sports Minister Sunday Dare after they claim they were shut out of the committee he recently named to draw up a Master Plan for Nigeria Football for the next 10 years.

Sports Minister Sunday Dare has announced a 16-man committee to design a Master Plan for football in the country.

The committee, which will soon be sworn in, has several former NFF top shots like Ibrahim Galadima and Musa Amadu as well as former internationals Sunday Oliseh and Emmanuel Babayaro.

However, www.insideglasshouse.com can now report that State FA Chairmen, who make up the majority of the NFF Congress, maintain they are not represented on this think-tank.

“We’re the critical stakeholders of Nigeria Football and yet we are not represented on such a committee,” complained one of the State FA bosses.

“We make up the NFF Congress, which is the highest decision-making body of Nigeria Football and yet the Minister didn’t deem it fit to get us on board,” further echoed another State FA Chairman.

“I don’t see anything serious coming out of this committee that will define our football going forward.”

The State FA Chairmen form the majority of the 44-man NFF Congress – 37 members.
