56 Days Gone After Mandatory Notice To The NFF Over Statutes Amendment

The Project 2022 Task Force mandatory notice for amendment of the NFF statutes 2010 by a football consultative assembly or a group of football stakeholders of eminent Nigerians is running out fast.

Today, the 22nd of August 2021, marks 56th day of the 90-day mandatory notice.

The PFAN Task Force upon its Inauguration on 26th June, 2021,  in Warri, Delta State, was conferred with a clear mandate to place the footballers bloc on the pinnacle of football administration in Nigeria come the September 2022 NFF elections.

By ensuring the NFF Statutes 2010 is amended in the following areas –

(1) Composition of the NFF Congress of 44 members dominated and skewed to the State Football Association Chairmen with 37 members.

(2) Composition of the NFF Executive Committee also skewed and dominated by the State Football Association Chairmen with 11 members out of 16 members

(3) Voting rights.

The Task Force was further mandated to achieve its terms of reference within  the rules, regulations and laws of FIFA, CAF, NFF and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.

So far the Task Force in trying to achieve its terms of reference has been solely dependent on the rule books.
